Walnut Jacobean chair 17th century very very rare ! note the very low stretcher rails near the floor, this construction detail puts this piece in the mid to early 17th century opposed to the 18th century.
The top of the back has an unusual rounding, which was the first adjustment to the straight rail model, joints are mortised and pegged tenons assembled dry and still no movement in them .
