18th century Dressing tableSOLD
This is a stunning and very rare inlaid Dutch dressing table from arround 1790, this design was the first purpose made dressing table, origonating in the design books of Thomas Sheraton and Hepplewhite, and here adopted by the Dutch.
It has the most fantastic inlaid work all over it, has mainly mahogany and satinwood veneered over and oak frame, contains a fold up and adjustable mirror which when unlocked releases the side fold over flaps.
This is a superb and remarkably rare piece in lovely restored condition, would have origonally come from a very wealthy household.
