Georgian Kneehole deskSOLD
This is a gorgeous George III kneehole desk, probably made at the end of the Georgian period roughly 1800, it has a number of rather special details such as the brush slide, the small cupboard door in solid curl mahogany, small sliding drawer imediatly above this, all the drawers have a very nice quality gilded brass handles and have an inlaid banding decoration.
Being made at the end off the georgain period a number of the characteristics would suggest that it is much earlier 18th century piece, although this is not so it is still a remarkable combination of the modern and older Georgian designs.
The finish is wax only with a nice origional pattina.
